Aerial Photography

Heliview create compelling aerial images that stir the imagination, are informative and contribute to effective communication about our world.

But before we start working together on your idea, we will briefly outline how we produce our aerial photographs and show you various examples of our work. After this, please fill out the contact form at the bottom leaving your name, phone number and a brief message, and we will get back to you.

Our own fleet of aircraft

To get us into the best position, we have our own fleet of specially modified Cessna 172 and Cessna 177 aircraft based at Popham airfield on the Surrey/Hampshire border.

Our aircraft are fitted with a range of gyro stabilised mounts?that provide perfectly steady platforms, essential for high-quality photography. It enables us to achieve shots that would otherwise be?impossible. For example; night scenes, or shots in adverse weather conditions.

The stabilised?mounts are also compatible with the?range of helicopters that?we use: the Robinson R44, Eurocopter EC120, or AS355 twin-engine Squirrel. Therefore, depending on your requirements, we have a suitable aircraft to get the shot.

If your assignment would benefit from using a UAV (Unmanned Aerial Vehicle), we have qualified BNUC registered pilots, who are insured and certified by the Civil Aviation Authority.

Photographer and pilot synergy

All our pilots are commercially trained, have many years experience, and specialise in aerobatics and aerial photography. Since they regularly fly all over the country, they are familiar with all the best locations.

Our aerial photographers and camera operators are some of the most experienced in the country and are highly respected in the industry. They are all members of the Professional Aerial Photographers Association and/or the Guild of Television Cameramen.

Equipment we use

On the photographic side, we capture your images using the latest Canon digital cameras and lenses. We then process them in our state of the art editing suites using the latest?scanners and printers to ensure your final aerial pictures are perfect.

Alternatively, we can shoot your commission traditionally in medium format (transparencies or negatives), or any format up to 10? x 8?. Our in-house darkroom, printers and Noritsu cropping/enlarging machine printer will again provide excellent results.

Now you know how we take the photographs, it’s time to see some of our work.

Editorial & Events

Where timing is everything, live events require an extra layer of precision. From festivals, where correct positioning is vital, to editorial features, where quick thinking and meeting a tight deadline are key.

We have completed a number of projects for multi-national publications and world-famous events. With our own fleet of aircraft, we can react quickly to your project?s requirements.

When it comes to photographing landmarks, finding the best angle is key.

Preparation on the ground can only get you so far, so it?s the quick-thinking nature of the photographer and pilot working together in the air that gets the best shot.

Not only are our pilots and photographers experts in their own fields, but by working together for many years, they also know each other extremely well.

Many construction firms come to us, often with very different requirements. From one-off aerial photos of their current building site to a before, during and after shot of their soon-to-begin 5-year development.

Having completed a variety of construction projects, we?re happy to work together to achieve your goal.
